I know, it’s a little bit late for Christmas miracles, but I really want to share some of them with you. Isn’t it beautiful, this Printemps store window above? But let’s start with the famous late-night shopping street Champs Elysees and its illumination.

Champs Elysees

Les Champs Elysees, the most beautiful by night, when you are walking down the street, chewing une baguette avec fromage, you can feel yourself in the centre of the world. One of my favorite stores there is Publicis Drugstore with a lot of international magazines, designers’ stuff and delicious food inside. There is also a classy cafe. Store’s holiday decoration has been made by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, who also decorated vitrines of BHV store on Rivoli’s street.

Galeries Lafayette

Lacy dinamic illumination of Galeries Lafayette’s facade has been made by italian artist Valerio Festi. Inside the vitrines you can find gamboling bear cubs, rabbits and gingerbread men dressed by Jean Paul GaultierKenzoMarc JacobsMajeManoush and Zadig & Voltaire. Those vitrines also caused for a huge jamming.

Printemps

It’s always hard to choose between Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, both produce amazing visual merchandising. For Printemps this year it was the Russian theme.

First  of all at the end of the year 2009 Printemps Haussemann has presented the new facade after two years of reconstruction works.

But Printemps windows decoration is a subject for the next post because of its cultural magnitude.
